Will I Survive?

Chuck went back to work today. Thank goodness for my two best friends...Zoloft & Xanax. Ha ha..just kidding. But seriously, I am so glad I have such a good support system with my parents close by, Chuck's family not far and our wonderful church family. We really appreciate all of the phone calls, emails, visits and meals. Patrick is such a good helper. He told me this morning that he loved having a baby brother and that warmed my heart. Nicholas seems to be doing better on his new formula. He is still having some symtoms of colic but not as bad as we witnessed last week. Well, 8 more hours to go...

Nicholas Is So Cute....

when he holds his binky in his mouth
when he makes kissing noises after you take the bottle out of his mouth
when he makes lamb noises in his sleep
when he follows us around the room with one eye opened and one closed
when he puts both hands on his ears just like he always had them in his sonogram pictures

Patrick's Prayers

There is something so humbling and equally beautiful about children's prayers. Last night Patrick's prayer went like this...

"Dear God,
Thank you that we had a wonderful day. Thank you for our food. Thank you for mommy and daddy. Thank you for Nicholas. Please help the baby sleep tonight. Thank you for the sky. Thank you for the clouds. Thank you for the lake. Thank you for the fish in the lake. Thank you for shampoo. Thank you for the breakables. Thank you for the tools. Please let us have a good time in Oklahoma City this weekend. Please help the big kids at church help the little kids. Please help all of the sick people get well. In Jesus name...
Amen."
