Non-Stop Exhausting Fun!
Well, we started off the actual birthday (July 3rd) with a bang (literally)! We woke up Patrick with those party poppers with streamers and the video camera shining in his eyes. We then proceeded to the kitchen for red velvet birthday cupcakes. This was followed by presents, a visit to Cranial Technologies (for Nicholas) and then by McDonald's in Dallas (the one that looks like a big Happy Meal) on the way home. We then had Nana & DaDa over for more presents and cupcakes and then on to the hotel to see Daddy on the Monster Grill and eat great Four Seasons food and then Grandma & Jack joined us for the fireworks on the 18th Green. They were so awesome! We were right in front of them and Nicholas was just fine. On from there, we had the pancake b'fast at church on the 4th and more fireworks that night over the lake. Thursday & Friday, Chuck cooked for Brandi's (SIL) folks 4oth anniversary party. We traveled to the ranch on Saturday and dropped off Patrick to play with his cousins and Chuck , Brandi & I got things ready for the party. The party was at my grandmother's house which feels like home to me. We spent the night and went to church (which also feels like home-it is where my mom grew up) and then we came back home and headed for VBS! VBS has been such a blessing to both Chuck & myself. Paige (our VBS coordinator) has left little notes for the volunteers saying "thank you for being here to bless a child's life" but the real blessing has been to us. I have found that the more I put myself in an out of the box type experience that I would normally shy away from, the more God works through me and fills my spirit with love. OK back to the update-from there was Patrick's last minute Pump It Up birthday on Monday(due to our mud pit of a backyard). We are off again on Thursday through Sunday at Eufala for Chuck's annual family reunion and then to Austin and San Antonio next week for Sea World. No, my name is not Angie M., but I have felt like her lately!
