July

July was a good month because Chuck was off for 3 weeks. We really enjoyed having him home. We had Patrick's birthday with my whole family. We went to Splashtown (a water park) on Patrick's birthday with his cousins and Richard and Brandi. We went to the beach on the 4th and the kids really enjoyed playing in the sand and water. We went to Chuck's families annual family reunion at Lake Texoma. Patrick tried to ski this year. We had Patrick's birthday party with his friends. It was all boys this year. We had 11. They had a lot of fun on the water slide and swimming in the pool. They were really cute wearing their mustaches (it was a Fiesta theme). Chuck got the boat out of storage and worked on it for 5 days and got it running again. We were able to take it out one day. We rode it all over the lake and had fun having a picnic and swimming. All was well until the engine cut out and wouldn't restart. Luckily we were close to the dock and able to use the trolling motor to slowly get back to shore. It seems to break down every time it goes out. This time it turned out that the gas line disconnected. Chuck had replaced the starter and the hydraulic pump the week before. It is a never ending project.

Chuck did some great chalk drawings to direct everyone to the back yard.

Lake Texoma was fun. I probably should have stayed home as I had an occipital nerve headache for about 9 days and could barely function. I ended up having a nerve block when we got back and I have been going to physical therapy since.

This is my brother Richard and Chuck is in the picture below. The slides were fun but is was so crowded and Patrick's shoes were stolen!

Cousins at church camp with Chloe's friend Ashlyn, who came along too.
