Pumpkin Patch

The pumpkin patch we went to this year is really a Christmas tree farm. Riding on a hayride through a Christmas tree farm is not quite the fall experience I was looking for, but I found another pumpkin patch about and hour and a half away that we might go to this weekend. They also have a corn maze (a pumpkin patch must! and 16 acres of actual pumpkins growing on the ground). On Saturday nights, they have a pumpkin glow with 400 pumpkins lit up. When we lived in MA, we went to a pumpkin glow with 4,000 pumpkins that was amazing. If you are ever near Oxford, MA in the month of October, I highly recommend it.

I just can't believe how big they are getting!!!
Our pumpkin patch experience was in the front of a local church! That's about all my town has to offer in that area! How depressing :)

Sounds like fun. I guess we won't be seeing you this weekend. It's all good though, but we will miss ya. Hope you are feeling better.

I read in some magazine how many of these different farms really try to outdo each other by making bigger and bigger mazes. This one maze was over 33 acres and they had attendants in it and little rest stops and concessions and everything. I think it is mostly up north, but the site they listed was this.. http://www.cornmazedir.com/

Maybe you can find one near you.

Check out the mazes these guys do - they are really amazing. There is a company that specializes in creating and plotting these mazes out. Would be fun to have a farm and do that. Have fun!
